The company was incorporated as a private limited company on 12 May 1975 and converted into a public limited company – Eastern Oxygen Berhad (EOX) – on 27 December 1994. It debuted on the Second Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) on 27 December 1995 and was successfully transferred to the Main Board on 19 April 2001.

On 8 September 1998, EOX transferred all its existing assets, liabilities and business to a subsidiary, Eastern Oxygen Industries Sdn Bhd (EOX). EOX and Malaysian Oxygen Berhad (MOX), with whom EOX has a long-standing relationship, now jointly own EOX. BNDM holds 51% shareholding while the remaining 49% is held by MOX. MOX is the largest industrial gas manufacturer in Malaysia.

The operations of EOX is fully supported by strong industry leaders in the field of manufacturing and marketing of industrial, special and medical gases, as well as the distribution of a wide range of welding, medical and safety products. A wide range of gases are produced by EOX including oxygen, nitrogen, acetylene and carbon dioxide. These are manufactured and distributed in either a liquid or gaseous state. EOX also markets a comprehensive range of gas welding, cutting equipment and consumables.

In addition to the above, we also carry out the installation of dedicated pipelines directly to the customer. EOX is also the largest manufacturer of medical gases in Sarawak. Our Medical Division markets a wide range of specialised equipment, including inhalation apparatus, respiratory care and many more.
