Wilfred Vincent, fondly known as Elvince among close friend has been an “Elvis” force to reckon with since the 70s. He had created wave at the local Music scene in Sarawak when he won 2 time “The Elvis Presley of Sarawak" Title in the 70s.
Since then, Wilfred has been a voice and sight –he is almost an Elvis look- alike – to admire particular at public or private functions, more so nowadays, With that rekindled craze for the Elvis attire given the right ambiance and Mood.
It is not only his conduct and ready smile that attract people-it is about the Overall aura of magnetism that transpires in his presence. Given a chance to guess, one would make a quick conclusion that this Elvis is about 42, the same age as the age as the king himself at his untimely demise.
In 1990, Wilfred was already a household name among Sarawak music lovers In general, particularly those around in Kuching. A staunch fan of Elvis and Cliff Since his younger days, Wilfred has mellowed with age as far as rock n roll is Concerned. But in 21st Century, the millennium bug has revitalized his craze for the Elvis genre and as such, lo and behold, the Elvis “spirit become more alive and resurrected in him. Now, with time much on his side, Elvis Wilfred Vincent is a very Busy man with his own Elvis Show and being a Publisher For Majalah Tebilang.
With a few Elvis attires, Belts and EP glasses in his closet. Wilfred is now a changed Man and is comfortable with his attire, even at public function .His favorite pick is His cream attire studded with red, blue and gold, bearing an eagle design in front and the Back, painting a picture of eagerness and aggression – musical aggression, that is. On any of his shows, fans would be treated to a great dose of swiveling hip and great footwork.
Over the last few years, Wilfred entered and left the building a number of time with appearance in Sibu, Miri, Sri Aman, Kuching City, Kota Kinabalu and in Kuala Lumpur. Certainly that is not easy to do but he is confident a heavy task accomplished will pay great dividends.
